FloQast is a Software as a Service (SaaS) accounting application that assists with close management. The product provides accounting teams with checklists and tie-outs linked to Excel workbooks and the client of organizations' enterprise resources planning (ERP) system to automate reconciliations.
Hypothesis
Implementing cloud-based accounting software that streamlines month-end close processes will optimize task management, workflow, and collaboration, leading to enhanced efficiency. Seamless integration and user-centric design will further improve product functionality and user experience.

Legacy Design Interface
Below is the legacy design interface before implementing the new design system this year. One point to note is that the legacy UI required multiple taps to edit a task, which also added to the time spent on the duration of editing a task. I consolidated the flow to better streamline the workflow and edit existing tasks/projects in one tap.Â

Business Impact
To enhance user experience and reduce repetitive tapping within the Floast application, I optimized efficiency to minimize the time spent on closing tasks for each client every month. By streamlining processes, we have reduced costs and simplified the workflow for our Accounts team, enabling quicker book closures and refining the overall user experience.
